My work: drawings
& illustrations and paintings
I am a member of the Camp Hill High School Class of 1977 and a graduate of Penn State, class of '81, where I have a B.A. in Art. Being an alumae has been really fun - one can run into another Penn Stater almost anywhere! I also am a graduate of CalArts where
I have a B.F.A. in Character Animation. My greatest joy are our twin daughters.
We also have our "sons," our cats Chatham and Salem.
I was an artist-in-residence
in 1999 where I helped over 500 elementary students, teachers and staff
produce a seven-by-five
foot mural. Since 2003 to 2007 I taught Cartooning
and Drawing Classes to children and youth at the The
Art Center School
& Galleries (aka The Mechanicsburg Art Center).
I am very active
in volunteer activities, was a custom picture framer for over fourteen
years, and have been designing and maintaining web sites for several
years. I also have been a Girl Scout leader since 1999, and help out
with other GS programs within Hemlock
Girl Scout Council, now Girl
Scouts in the Heart of PA.
Currently I am newsletter editor for the Unitarian
Church of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Camera Club (which won
an honorable mention in PSA's
newsletter competition in 2003 and 2nd Place in 2004).
I
was
also
responsible
for
the
newsletter
for
the Keystone Mothers
of Multiples for six years (four years the solo editor) and for The
Art Center School & Galleries for almost ten
years.
In 2004 I was one of the artists
involved with the Harrisburg
CowParade.
When I'm not involved in my other activities, I'm surfing the 'net. Here are some of my interests and favorite sites.
